Do you want to show your support for Cancer Research UK?

This could be your chance to put on that event that you have always dreamed of organising and show your support in the fight against cancer.

You can decide to organise whatever fundraising event you want, however often you want, whether it’s a ball, a dog walk, a softball tournament, a fancy dress quiz night, a bike ride event, a golf day or a lunch party, you’ll be supported by Felicity Jones, your local point of contact at Cancer Research UK, every step of the way. If want to join other like minded people or have fun with your friends whilst fundraising you can fundraise together as a group and help to beat cancer.

Although survival rates have doubled in the last thirty years and Cancer Research UK have been at the heart of that progress, it remains a sad fact that every two minutes someone is diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately we have to turn down millions of pounds worth of good quality research into cancer every year due to lack of funds and so we need to keep fundraising until we have achieved our aim that together we will beat cancer.

Geoff Taylor is the Chairman of the City of London Committee and this group organises quizzes, treasure hunts, golf days and abseils.
