We live in a society saturated by people clamouring for it, and, as you'll no doubt realise if you've been forced to sit through The X Factor this year, being 'famous' alone isn't necessarily a barometer of quality.

Except, of course, when it comes to watches. The world's most famous watch is labeled as such for a reason. It's not 'trendy'; it sure as hell isn't cheap; it is, of course, the Patek Philippe Henry Graves Supercomplication. The notorious pocket watch is to be sold at auction just in time to coincide with Patek's 175-year anniversary at Sotheby's' Geneva auction on 11 November. It's an event worth going to just to see – let alone bid for – the Michael Jackson of timepieces. Not the Lauren Platt. Or whatever her name is.
