The Design Museum’s Design Awards 2012

Known as ‘the Oscars of the design world,’ guests are invited to this annual exhibition which showcases the most innovative and inspiring designs of the last 12 months, spanning seven categories including architecture, fashion, transport and digital.

One winner from each category will be chosen by a panel of high profile judges, with the overall winner of the Design of the Year Award announced in this year’s awards ceremony in April.

British designer Samuel Wilkinson and product designer Hulger took home the award last year beating over 90 short listed entries with their stylish low energy Plumen 001 lightbulb design.

Situated by Thames’ South Bank, visit the Design Museum to witness some of the most original designs of the year.

The Design Awards 2012 runs from February 8 until July 15
