Renowned British artist, Damien Hirst, showcases some of his most iconic and infamous pieces of art from the past twenty years at a special exhibition at the Tate Modern this Summer.

Hirst has become one of the most influential artists of his generation with works such as The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living 1991, in which he suspended a shark in formaldehyde alongside seminal sculptures of preserved and dissected animals to his prints and paintings.

One of the highlights will undoubtably be the iconic diamond encrusted skull, For the Love of God. The platinum skull, covered with 8,601 flawless diamonds was first exhbitied in 2007 and can be seen in a special viewing room from 4th April- 24th June 2012 as an accompaniment to the full scale exhbition.

The retrospective exhibition will take place during the Summer of 2012 at the Tate Modern.
