To celebrate the Glorious Twelfth, the opening of the grouse season on 12 August, The Ginger Pig is taking bookings for a limited number of game butchery classes at its Moxon Street shop.

Running at the start of October, the six classes on offer are pork, lamb, beef, seasonal game, poultry and sausage-making. Classes last three and a half hours and cost £155 per person. As well as a hands-on butchery lesson, you enjoy a two-course supper with wine and take home the prepared piece of meat from the class. A bit like school only more grisly. Roll up your sleeves, and don't take a vegetarian.

Bookings are available from 12 August. Classes run Monday to Saturday, 7pm to 10.30pm and Sunday, 4pm to 7.30pm. To book visit thegingerpig.co.uk
