We don't imagine you remember the birth of the cocktail party, but thats not to say you shouldn't relive it when the opportunity comes around. Or live it, as the case may be.
If a pop-up party celebrating the golden age of the cocktail in the 1930s sounds like your kind of thing, The Tanqueray Drawing Rooms is the best opportunity you'll get in the capital. The project aims to capture the essence of the 1930s cocktail party by throwing open the doors of intriguing Georgian townhouse Six Fitzroy Square, with artists providing live illustrations, bartenders mixing original twists on classic cocktails, male styling sessions from Sartoria Lab and headpiece-making masterclasses, meaning you'll not only get to experience this defining period – you'll take a bit of it home with you, too.
Tickets for The Tanqueray Drawing Rooms pop-up cost £10 and are available through YPlan. The pop-up is part of the #TanquerayThursdays series, an evolving weekly guide to the top ten coolest Thursday night experiences in London; tanqueray.com
