Wondering where you should be hanging out this Christmas, drinking mulled wine and riding attractions until you're green in the face? Winterville, in the heart of Victoria Park, is the new alternative Winter Wonderland.

Its debut programme includes House of Fairy Tales, the Make It Market, Robin Hood Pantomime with a local Hackney Chorus, performances from London's finest burlesque cabaret company Cirque du Cabaret, as well as praised Edinburgh Fringe show Cutting Off Kate Bush – and if you've never heard of any of this, trust us, it's worth a visit.

But the highlight of your visit is sure to be the roller disco, so get ready to don your skates, and if you're anything like us, a helmet and as much padding as you can wear... Open day and night for both family fun as well as takeovers from London club nights, including Dalston Superstore and Cat Face disco, you'll never want to leave.

Winterville opens on 2 December until 1 January 2015. Entry into the town is free. For more information visit winterville.co.uk
