Being a female PA in the City can be tons of fun. For one, if you're attractive enough, you can usually count on a night out where you won't have to spend a penny. However, those buying the drinks usually have motives, though of you're clever enough, you can move from bar to bar with your dignity fully intact and your wallet full. You want to especially be wary those older men who seem a little bit too confident and talk about their large properties down south. These ones, nine times out of ten, are married. I remember Geraint once wrote an article containing some statistics about infidelity in The City, so I decided to do a little experiment of my own; to count how many married/or attached men approach me in one night. Having a knowledgable City friend helped. So the night went, and the count got to about 15 or 20, I few of which I was sure were married though was not 100% sure. And in that count, I actually caught removing their rings and resigning them to their pockets as they approached me. So you see, The City seems to have this strange "don't ask, don't tell" policy, at least among the City boys. Most of the spend the week in The City send Champagne to girls across bars, others sit back and watch it happen - and then when work it over, they hop on that Friday night train back to the country. Big hint to the ladies looking for love in The City: if he can rarely meet you on a Friday night - he's on that train home to his wife and kids.
