CityBird: Ladies Nights In The City

Sorry boys, Thursday nights are all about ladies – and specifically, all about getting your mitts on free champagne.

Northbank, St Pauls

Members of the fairer sex should get themselves down to Northbank restaurant on the Thames, which gives away free bubbly every Thursday evening from 6pm. And, when the weather’s better, there’s a sun-trap terrace to guzzle your free booze on and stare over at the poor people PAYING for their wine on the South Bank.

Primo Bar, South Bank

On the first Thursday of every month (which, goodo, is tonight) Primo Bar, housed in the Park Plaza hotel on the South Bank, turns the traditional order upside down with a dedicated ladies night. It’s all a bit antiquated, but cocktails are only £4, there’s live music, plus free spa mini treatments. It might not have a balcony with a river view, but men aren’t allowed in until 9pm – AND they have to pay for entry.

Abacus, Bank

Okay, TECHNICALLY this isn’t an official ladies night, but I’ve never bought a drink in there. Sidle up to an Amex-ed trader and it’s as good as.
