Caribbean - Amanyara

Caribbean - Amanyara

Many of the Caribbean’s finest hotel resorts offer the availability to purchase freehold too. That’s because one week isn’t generally enough. Nor is one month for that matter. Take a trip to Amanyara in the Turks and Caicos Islands and you’ll understand why you’ll want to stay for years.

Take ‘secluded’ and ‘hideaway’ as given. Throw in a bit of ‘private’ too. Top off with a little ‘paradise’. You still haven’t captured how beautiful Amanyara actually is.

Located over 99 acres along the coast of Providenciales, the resort sits on the edge of 18,000 acres of unspoilt national park. Shielded by this emerald belt, Amanyara has the seclusion of a private island yet lies just 30 minutes drive from an international airport and numerous other resorts, restaurants and attractions. Not that you’ll be interested in those, as once you’re there you won’t want to leave.

With its white sand beach, ironshore rocky coves and abundant marine life, Amanyara offers some of the best diving and watersports in the world. In fact, even the late great Jacques Cousteau rated its coral reef as one of the ten best dive sites in the world.

Amanyara consists of 40 private guest ‘pavilions’ and 33 villas available to buy and rent. Pavilion rates start from £740 per night and this covers airport transfers, use of tennis courts and as many international telephone as you care to burden yourself with. Villas start at £3000 per night, and include a private 1,200 square foot swimming pool in the same black volcanic rock as the hotel.

If you do end up falling in love with the place (which you will, by the way) villas start at £4m. Prices rise up to £8m for a fully loaded abode. n
