Blimey! What a piece of work! How stunning. Remarkable. Beautifully put together. Wouldn’t mind getting a closer peek at these curves yada yada. You get the picture.
We mean, of course, the bra. It is a thing of craftsmanship and wonderment. Says the press release. What else to say? (Like you’re reading the words, not drooling at the pic.)
Well, I can tell you that the bra features more than 3,000 60ct white diamonds, alongside 82ct blue sapphires and oval-shaped...

Crunch Bunch: Venus of Cupertino iPad Docking Station

But ubiquity comes with its own challenges. Like how do you retain your fiercely independent streak when you’re lugging around exactly the same tablet as the rest of the world? Short of trading your iPad in for a Microsoft Surface or customising its beautiful back-plate with a bit of DIY engraving, both of which are madness in my opinion, your options are limited to putting it in a snazzy case.
Or at least they were, until Venus of Cupertino’s iPad docking station...

“Look at that subtle off-white colouring. The tasteful thickness of it. Oh my God, it even has a watermark!”
Say what you like about the chainsaw-wielding mass-murdering psychopath, but Patrick Bateman knew his business cards. It was all about taste for him: understated class but with enough flourish – think raised lettering and bone colouring – to show that you’re not just another suit.
Well, imagine his utter dismay if you were to present him with one of these:...

“Every act of creation is first an act of destruction.” At least, that’s what googly-eyed doodler Pablo Picasso believed. And what luxury jewellery company Fonderie 47 has taken to heart in the construction of its new limited edition range of men’s jewellery.
Although these cufflinks may cost an eye-watering £20,720 per set, Fonderie’s mission is actually far more noble than it may seem. It uses the funds generated from sales to buy and then destroy illegal...

Heard the one about the diamond-encrusted earphones? No, didn’t think so. There’s a reason that Deos hasn’t exactly become a high-street brand. And it’s not just because ‘Defining Expression of Sound’ is frankly a bit of a shite name.
You know how they say you shouldn’t really wear white headphones because it makes it obvious to London’s less morally-sound individuals that you’re harbouring an iDevice… Well, imagine then dressing up said headphones with...

Luckily for us, Porsche Design has stepped up to the plate and delivered just such a product.
This £2,000 hookah is inspired by just the sort of automotive innovation one should demand from a trusty shisha pipe. Firstly, the eagle-eyed petrolheads among you may have clocked the TecFlex piping. For those not in the know this is the durable hose used to sheath brake lines and electronics on high performance vehicles. Why this should prove necessary is beyond us – but it...

It’s rather apt that our answer to the USA’s Silicon Valley has, as its creative epicentre, a dismal roundabout in east London. The streets around the ‘Silicon Roundabout’ (or the interchange at the junction of Old Street and City Road, as you might know it) are full of people who talk in binary, have haircuts so edgy they haven’t been invented yet and are working on technology that will change the way we ridicule strangers online forever.

The glove was created by heiress/designer/artist Daphne Guinness and jeweller Shaun Leane over a period of four years, inspired by Guinness’s fascination with armour. At last month’s Masterpiece Fair this little chap was the height of fashion. Without telling any tall tales, the 67.5cm-short silver statue of a 17th-century dwarf took pride of place. Displayed by Mayfair antiques dealer Ronald Phillips Ltd, it is said to be life-sized.
Which means the little fella was not much bigger than two of the plastic rulers we were given in our very first stationery sets (along with a protractor, set square and compass).
So who was the enigmatic...

I like my commute. That’s not a phrase you hear often. For most people, the commute has to be endured, completed in the shortest time and finished with as little pain as possible. They have a point. The over-crowded, noisy and expensive journeys that we are forced to tolerate have little to recommend them. But I enjoy my daily commute. It gives me the chance to do something I could never fit in to the rest of my day. The two hours a day that I spend on trains gives me time...

I started work in finance in 1997 for Credit Suisse First Boston but it wasn’t until 1999 that I moved to London to work for UBS, in leverage finance and acquisition finance.
I covered various finance roles both in New York and London up until 2009 when I left.
I’ve got loads of fond memories of the City. We had one guy who always walked in with a trumpet every morning to wake up his team and trumpeted across the floor for five minutes. My team were great.

Sadly, the positive government messages only paper over the cracks of the less attractive picture behind. In reality, the FLS extension may only serve to lengthen the time it takes to join its largely unsuccessful predecessors - the Enterprise Finance Guarantee and Project Merlin - as figures showed a further £4.8bn drop in lending for the three months to February 2013. FLS is another case of treating the symptom, rather than the underlying disease, with analysts pointing...

Since the financial crisis of 2008 the relationship between the general public and the corporations that serve them has changed. On the one hand, the public is questioning the role of corporations and blaming them for emphasising short term results over the wider economic good. On the other, governments are asking how they can avoid a repeat of the financial crisis, whilst still dealing with the fallout of the first one.
All of this means tighter government regulation, at...

Some key areas to consider are:
1. Intellectual property – You will want to own the ad and its defining features. However, you may be surprised to know that, under copyright law, the owner is "the creator". This means that the...
