Over 1,500 of the City's finest gathered to celebrate 50 issues of Square Mile magazine and the launch of squaremile.com at a lavish bash in the heart of the City.

The City was out in force n Wednesday night at Devonshire Square as Square Mile magazine and its readers basked in the glory of the City and those who work in it. Revellers enjoyed free drinks and a wealth of entertainment including fire-breathing dancers, burlesque performances and a casino, while American Express Centurion VIP guests quaffed Laurent Perrier champagne.

There was also plenty of attention for the three Jaguar sportscars on show, and many readers took advantage of the opportunity to be photographed with two glamorous lingerie models on beds provided by And So To Bed.

Guests included senior executives from all of the City's big banks, footballers from West Ham United and Man City plus the Sex Pistols' Glen Matlock.

Square Mile magazine editor Martin Deeson paid tribute to hard working City workers, saying: "While everyone else is busy bashing bankers, we're throwing a big bash for them instead."

There is no irony.
Absolutely cracking party, shameless displays of flesh and plenty of pissed up bankers. Classic!

Have your say
