On my wrist

The watch I wear almost every day is a Bell & Ross BR-01-92 Steel, with a black alligator strap. It’s the perfect size for my very large wrist and it’s so tough I am never concerned about being too careful with it. The other amazing watch is Panerai’s limited edition Bronzo Luminor Submersible. Sylvester Stallone handed all the Expendables the watch on the last day of shooting Expendables 2. It’s incredible – and it holds so much meaning for me and is a shining example of how far I’ve come in my career.

In my hand

I am guilty of buying pens by the pack. A pack of ten BIC extra smooth ballpoints stay tucked away in my weekend bag, accompanied by a Moleskine pad for drawing and a Mead Five-Star college ruled notebook for ideas.I always carry two phones with me. My favourite is an AT&T iPhone 6 with a Mophie charger for extra power, and I also have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy Note because in the US, Verizon works everywhere.

On my radar

Not to toot my own horn, but – yes, I’m tooting my own horn. My friend and business partner Nana Boateng and I started our own line last year. It’s called Amen & Amen, and we plan on expanding very soon, starting with accessories then moving into a full line of menswear. I found it was hard to find clothing in the US that didn’t make me look like everyone else, and it seems especially difficult when you have an athletic build. I’m also a huge fan of Vivienne Westwood’s menswear, as she gives men a daring profile. Her orange wingtips are a perfect example. Also, I am extremely impressed by Boglioli and its use of colour. Its aqua green tux with navy lapel actually takes my breath away.

I can’t get enough of anything Balmain – its denim is superb, whilst in the shoe department, Caulaincourt Paris cannot be outdone. It makes truly one-of-a-kind custom patina dress shoes and boots that are all showstoppers. I have a pair of camouflage dress boots that the company owner Alexis Lafont made specifically for me and they are truly the most beautiful shoes I’ve ever owned.

I recently purchased a men’s pure silver and leather concho belt that is the pièce de resistance of my wardrobe right now. It closely resembles the one Jim Morrison wore years ago

In my sights

At the moment I have my sights set on the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Sky-Dweller [pictured above]. I saw one up close and personal when I visited Basel in Switzerland earlier this year and now I can’t get it out of my mind.

In my wardrobe

I have spent a lot of time shooting in Santa Fe, New Mexico and have been floored by American-Indian art and culture. I recently purchased a men’s pure silver and leather concho belt that is the pièce de resistance of my wardrobe right now. It closely resembles the one Jim Morrison wore years ago. I wear it over an existing belt or jeans and it tells everyone I know my past, I exist in the present and live for the future. If it’s great enough for Elvis, it’s great enough for me.

On my travels

My Louis Vuitton chequerboard Damier cobalt canvas man bag will be right by my side. It fits all my toiletries, vitamins, headphones and books for a flight – and when I arrive it doubles as the bag I’m taking to the gym because even though I’m on vacation, I never take days off from the gym. Also, the cobalt blue works with anything you wear on holiday.

In my dreams

I certainly have all that I need, and for that I’m truly grateful, but now I’m working on everything I want. I am designing my own state-of-the-art mobile fitness trailer, with every piece of equipment from treadmills, bikes, racks and weights, custom designed to fold and hide away for travel. This trailer will run on solar power and set up anywhere in the world, from the desert to the frozen tundra. The final aim of my idea is to duplicate the trailers and set them up in remote locations for movie shoots, expeditions, and places where the hotel gym just isn’t enough.

On my agenda

I have always travelled to London alone in the past, usually for business, but I would love to bring my whole family over for an extended holiday. Long enough for us to get an accent at least. To perform in a play or musical would be my dream. I’d also take the family to Buckingham Palace and, because I’m a nerd, we’d go on the Warner Bros Harry Potter tour as well. To be even nerdier, we’d go and visit Elstree Studios where a huge portion of the Star Wars movies were filmed.

On my bucket list

After my family’s financial future is secure, I want to be able to give away 90% of all I have to those with dreams and visions of a better future. To be able to fund artists, architects, writers, designers, engineers and creatives of all kinds so we can see the world get better and better. You can’t take it with you, so I want to hand it down to the next generation.
