If you don't know her already, Daisy Clark is a name – and a voice – you can expect to become much more familiar with in the next few years. After the 18-year-old uploaded her cover of the Grease classic Hopelessly Devoted to You on talent platform Music Crowns, the video went viral and has racked up nearly 6m views to date. The cover has now been released as a single by Warner and, with her incredible voice and legion of online fans, we suspect Daisy has much, much more to come. Watch this space.

First track you fell in love with?

I always used to listen to Kelly Clarkson on the way to school with my mum and I always wanted to listen to Because of You... I still love it to this day!

Most recent track you fell in love with?

I love Ruin by Shawn Mendes. It has such a jazzy yet emotive feel and I've loved it since the first time I heard it.

Track to start your day with?

If you've ever seen me play live, you'll know I always play Put Your Records On by Corinne Bailey Rae. It is such a feel good song! It reminds me of summer and good vibes.

Track that always cheers you up?

The 1975 are one of my favourite bands. I went to see them live a couple of years ago and they opened the show with Love Me. Every time I hear it I can’t help but dance and smile, I feel like I'm watching them all over again.

Track to get you in the mood for a night out?

Little Mix are my guilty pleasure, Move just makes me want to move! You can’t help but dance along to that song.

Track to play in the bedroom?

My favourite track to play in the bedroom is Hold Back the River by James Bay. I saw James Bay live last year at Boardmasters music festival, I fell in love with his songs. I also looked him up on YouTube and found his solo acoustic videos and loved them. Let It Go is one of my favourites to play at home.

Track you wish you’d written?

This would be All Too Well by Taylor Swift. I am in love with the lyrics of All Too Well by Taylor Swift, she portrays the song as a beautiful story. The song is very emotional and I wish I could have written such a beautiful song, lyrically and melodically. [Note: due to Taylor's songs not being available on Spotify, you'll have to find this one on YouTube.]

If you could only listen to one track for the rest of your life...?

It would be Robbers by The 1975. Robbers is one of my all time favourite songs, it is both uplifting and heartbreaking at the same time. It sends shivers down my spine and I could listen to it over and over again without getting bored.

First track at your wedding?

I love the classic I Can't Help Falling In Love With You. I have covered it before and since learning it, it's my absolute favourite love song. I have played it at a few weddings before and there are always a few tears!

Track to play at your funeral?

I could have answered this song to every question, it’s Enchanted by Taylor Swift. It has always been the song that makes me sad, happy, inspired... everything really. So having it as your final song would be very emotional! [Note: see above.]

Track of yours that you’re most proud of?

I'm very proud of my song Battle Scars. It's probably my most honest and heartfelt song.

Recent track of yours that you want to share with us?

The song I want to share is my cover of the Grease classic Hopelessly Devoted to You. I shared my video with with a platform called Music Crowns which helps unsigned and independent musicians get their music heard by a bigger audience. As soon as they shared it, things went crazy and I had comments from fans asking where they could get the track. The next thing I knew Warner was in touch and I was recording the track in a real studio and we’re releasing it on Spotify and iTunes on 17 February.

Daisy Clark is managed by Music Crowns, an online platform for independent and unsigned musicians. Hopelessly Devoted to You is available on Spotify and iTunes.
