This August, Songs From Above will return to The London EDITION with a series of live music from London’s leading alternative choir, London Contemporary Voices. Fresh from performing in the BBC Proms at The Royal Albert Hall, they're bringing their soulful tones to Fitzrovia.

In case you needed reminding, they're the voices that have been featured on Elbow’s UK no.1 album, Little Fictions, and have collaborated with 11 Grammy winners and nomineess, including Sam Smith. They've also performed as part of the stage play, Harry Potter and The Cursed Child and soundtracked Burberry's Feb '17 campaign.

Next on the agenda, the choir is letting lose and will pay tribute to global music icons. Expect to hear pop classics by Madonna, Whitney Houston, Bowie and George Michael.

Following on from the opening night which focused on 'Divas - Classic Queens', next week's theme will be 'Pop!' You'll be treated to chart-toppers by Destiny's Child and modern hits from The Weekend. But if the 80s were more your scene, pop by for the 'Guilty Pleasures' or 'Heroes' nights when Cyndi Lauper and Prince will heavily feature.

The mini concerts will take place on Wednesday evenings from 7pm on 16,23 and 30 August, delivered from the balcony overlooking the hotel’s Lobby Bar. Swing by to treat yourself to a Vermillionaire (a blend of Belvedere Vodka, Lemon and Sage sherbet, Lemon juice, Strawberry and Veuve Cliquot Brut) or if you're craving something a little sweeter, taste the Rhubarb Royal (Altos Blanco, Grapefruit juice, Lime juice, Rhubarb syrup, Veuve Cliquot Brut).

Hallelujah: finally pop tunes we can praise.
