British menswear brand Oliver Brown has a neat motto: “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.” With 35 years of experience under its immaculate leather belt, you can be assured the Chelsea-based outfitter will supply you with clothing to suit every climate. From tweed outerwear to City boardrooms, Oliver Brown has your sartorial needs covered.

Oliver Brown offers three levels of tailoring: Bespoke, Semi-Bespoke and Made-To-Order. The bespoke suits are crafted by the in-house tailor and take more than 60 hours to create, by hand and in London. Semi-Bespoke is a comprehensive and personalised step into the bespoke world, while Made-to-Order offers similarly high levels of tailoring at more accessible prices. But if you want an excuse to spend big, a free bespoke shirt with any Bespoke or Semi-Bespoke suit is offered to any Square Mile readers.

Bespoke shirts are also available for purchase separately. The level of detail is seriously impressive: you are invited to design every aspect of your shirt to ensure a truly personalised garment. Colour and patterning are relatively straightforward, but then you move onto the cut of the collar, the shape of the cuffs, pocket or no pocket? Choose whether or not you want the shirt initialised, whereabouts and in what script. If all these decisions get too much, your tailor will gently offer their suggestions. The whole process takes around 45 minutes and provides an almost childish sense of excitement as you slowly build your outfit.
