You might have nonchalantly thrown your toiletries in with your boxers, screwed your shirts up into a ball and sat down on your suitcase to clamp it shut, but from the outside, you'll look suave and well presented as you turn up at the airport with your slick new Tumi x Public School suitcase.

Up-and-coming label Public School, the creation of New York designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, has collaborated with TUMI to create a six-piece collection, encompassing hard cases to soft, holdalls to backpacks, all in chic shades of the design duo's signature colour: black.

The collection is said to have drawn inspiration and energy from Public School's hometown of NYC, and has been crafted from Tumi's Tegris material in Black Graphite with a laser-cut netting overlay, creating a weave pattern effect on the exterior of the cases. This pattern, featured throughout the collection, is infused into the hardware and luggage tags of the day bags and accessories, as well as the 2-D effect on the bottom of the travel satchel. Which basically means you'll look dapper when you roll up at the airport – even if you're running manically through Departures to avoid missing your flight…
